P5: Assess the Ethical, Social and Moral Impact Your Proposal Could Have on Stakeholders

In this report, I will be talking about the ethical issues my media product could face. Stakeholders are businesses that will invest in your product idea. In return, the stakeholders will recieve a percentage of the business and money.

Robots have been represented in movies and TV. Terminator and Ultron are two examples of robots that are demonised by the media. Many people believe that robots will one day take over the world and go against their programming. As a result of this being shown in the media, our society is wary and frightened of the robotics. Having walking robots will frighten us at first. My HELP-R 5000 robots will have a power off mode on it as well as on the app to make sure it is easy to shut it down if it decides to malfunction. I will make sure that the robot's AI is programmed to be helpful and has some restrictions of topics it can percieve and talk about.

Robots are also going to lead to a loss of jobs. This is because some jobs can be automatically completed by a machine. This however is not a problem. If more robots (including the HELP-R 5000) are being used to perform basic tasks, then there will be more jobs in the robotics field. This is an opportunity for us to advance technology and create more jobs in the robotics industry.

AI (Artificial Intelligence) allows robots to communicate with us and do simple tasks without our input. However, AI does have some downsides. In some cases, robots may say things that are slightly disturbing, immoral or unethical. They may say bad things to vulnerable people for example. In the video above, you can see the AI robot Sophia giving her take on the trolley question. AI robots are not likely to understand the ethical and moral opinions us humans have without being rigorously trained beforehand. What if robots learn about ethics from the wrong people? My HELP-R 5000 robots will use AI. However, I will make sure that my robots follow the three laws of robotics that Isaac Asimov created. I will make sure that each robot is trained correctly and I will create a moral compass for them in their programming. My robot will have restrictions on what it can say so it doesn't think or say anything it shouldn't.

Most robots are not environmentally friendly. They are made from non-renewable metals such as steel etc and they are powered by batteries and electricity. This has detrimental effects on the environment.
My robot will be eco-friendly. It will be created either from recycled or biodegradable materials. I will power the HELP-R 50000 robots using biomass since this is the main renewable source or energy and my robot can use this.

In conclusion, I believe that stakeholders would be interested in my robot. I have highlighted how my robot will be safe and helpful. I have explained the benefits of my robot compared to others out there. I believe my stakeholders will see this as an opportunity for us to advance our knowledge of robotics. They may think that my robots are going to help us significantly in the future.
